Frequently asked questions

Q. Will I have my own room
A. No, the prices are based on 2 people per room. If you prefer your own room, the rate is double the share rate.

Q. What is included in the season rate?
A. Accommodation, electricity, high speed internet, snow removal, weekly cleaning.

Q. If there is weekly cleaning, does that mean I don't have to tidy or clean up after myself?
A. No, the weekly cleaning is for routine maintenance of the lodge. Guests are expected to tidy up after themselves including all kitchen dishes and general mess. If cleaner goes over set cleaning times, guests will be charged accordingly.

Q. What happens if I leave early?
A. Deposits are non-refundable. We recommend guests have travel insurance in case of accidents or emergencies.

Q. Can I change rooms once I am there?
A. Requests will be taken into consideration, but there are no guarantees.

Q. I would like to have a friend or my parents stay at the lodge for a week
A. In fairness to other guests, no friends or family are allowed to stay over at the lodge. No exceptions.

Q. Do you supply lift tickets?
A. Lift tickets are an additional cost and can be arranged on request.

Q. Is there somewhere that I can wax and tune my skis / snowboards?
A. Yes, there is a full ski/snowboarding tuning facility at the lodge.

Q. Does the lodge have a hot tub and who takes care of it?
A. Yes, there is a 4-person hot tub on the back deck. Snow removal and maintenance are included in your costs, however it is there are guidelines to be followed as far as the usage of the tub.

Q. Are there cooking facilities?
A. Yes, there is a large entertainment sizes kitchen.

Q. Is there a washer and dryer?
A. Yes, the lodge is equipped with a full sized washer and dryer.

Q. Is there parking?
A. Yes, limited space is available on the driveway and additional parking on the street.

Q. Are you on the bus route?
A. Yes, there is a bus stop just outside the house. In the wintertime the bus runs every 15mins.

Q. How far away is Peakview Lodge from the ski lifts?
A. Creekside gondola is a 2min drive, 5min bus ride or 10min walk. Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas are a 5 min drive or 10min bus ride.

Q. Does Whistler have a large grocery store and how far away is it.
A. Yes, Whistler has 3 main grocery stores; 5, 10 or 15min bus ride away. Creekside is closest and is a 10min walk.

Q. Is there high speed Internet at the lodge?
A. Yes, wireless high speed Internet is available.

Q. Is there a caretaker?
A. Yes, there is a Whistler manager ensuring the lodge is well maintained.

Q. Is linen included?
A. Yes, bed linen provided (sheets, pillows, duvets). Bath towels are not provided.

Q. How many washrooms are there?
A. The lodge has two full sized bathrooms.

Q. Who will I be staying with?
A. Other like-minded adventurers coming to Whistler to enjoy the outdoors.

Q. What is the average age of the guests?
A. 25 - 35 years

Q. Can I stay longer into the summer?
A. Yes, summer rental agreements can be organized in the spring - March / April

Q. Can I have a huge party and have lots of people over?
A. No, there are to be no house parties at the lodge.

Q. Can I bring people back to the lodge from the bar after the bar is closed?
A. No

Q. Are there taxis in Whistler?
A. Yes

Q. Will my electronics work in Whistler?
A. Depending on what country you are coming from you may need to bring a converter/ adapter.

Q. How far is Whistler from Vancouver?
A. 75 miles or approx 2 hours driving. Bus shuttles can be booked with either Perimeter or Greyhound.

Q. Do I need a visa?
A. Best to check with your travel agent as it depends which country you are from.
